Rail dismantling

Many of Recylux sites have rail access, which allows us to receive end of life rail material.

Our site in Baroncourt (France) is specialized in rail dismantling with asbestos removal and can process locomotives, passenger trains or freight trains.

Dismantling in the widest sens and recovery of recyclable materials by putting them again on the market are a way to reduce the impact of human activity on the planet.

After the depollution of the trains (asbestos brakes, asbestos insulation, hydraulic liquids, batteries,…) and the recovery of the valuable pieces and the ones that can be reused, the wagons are cut up into plates and subgroups. The plates are sheared and calibrated, while the subgroups are crushed.

Recylux has a significant know-how and experience in the rail field that enables a maximum material recycling. Baroncourt dismantling platform deals with rail elements as top priority but it also receives used transport material (tramways, tanks, buses,…).
